Hello Hopkins High students. On this page are a few resources for those of you who want to learn more and/or practice the mindfulness skills we talked about in your classroom. If you have any questions about our talk, the resources on this page, or want just to learn more about how mindfulness can help you, feel free to contact us.
Below are two basic mindfulness exercises. Some people prefer awareness of breath, while others find body scans easier for building awareness skills. Whichever you find more helpful, try doing it once each day. They are only a few minutes each. As with any skill, repeated practice is what matters. As is also the case with any skill-building, it will be a long time before you master it, and it’s the attentiveness to the learning process that matters and creates lasting change.
